The 2026 Winner

Los Angeles Reno

Los Angeles, California

Christina Samatas

Park & Oak

Park & Oak reimagined a 1920s Los Angeles bungalow to reflect its owner’s personality while preserving the architecture that made it special. A softer palette, expressive patterns, and carefully scaled furnishings bring new warmth to the historic interiors. From a library built around a treasured book collection to a kitchen designed for connection, the home celebrates the pleasures of living well in a space that feels deeply personal.

The 2026 Finalists

C5 Car Condo

Suamico, Wisconsin

Andrea Mayer of A.design

Andrea Mayer of A.design transformed an industrial car condo into a personal retreat built around its owner’s love of vintage Porsches and entertaining. Inspired by speakeasies and vintage steel structures, the design pairs oiled metal and polished concrete with warm oak, custom upholstery, and atmospheric lighting. Custom murals add playful nods to car culture and Star Wars, creating a space equally suited to working on a collection or gathering for a Formula 1 race.

Smith Home A-Frame

Hunter, New York

Jamie Smith of Smith Home Studios

Jamie Smith of Smith Home Studios reimagined her family’s 1970s A-frame at the base of Hunter Mountain, creating more room to gather while preserving its distinctive silhouette. Carefully planned additions and a reworked layout expand the compact chalet’s possibilities, while restored pine paneling, natural stone, and warm oak connect the interiors to the Catskills landscape. Curved furnishings and tactile textiles soften the home’s angular architecture, creating a welcoming retreat for ski weekends and time with family and friends.

Fort Worth Historic Renovation

Fort Worth, Texas

Bridget Tiek of TIEK BYDAY

TIEK BYDAY brought new life to a 1920s Fort Worth home, honoring its Louisiana influences while adapting it for a young family of five. A reconfigured layout places the kitchen overlooking the backyard and pool, improves connections throughout the house, and restores architectural character lost in earlier renovations. Layers of blues and greens, expressive patterns, antiques, and custom millwork connect the home’s history with the family’s personality.
