Rifle Paper Co. × Loloi
“Look closely for the illustrated cows, chickens, and ducks,” said Anna Bond, co-founder of Rifle Paper Co., because “we can’t seem to get enough of them this season.” In her latest artwork for her collaboration with Loloi, Bond drew on country-house imagery for rugs, pillows, and wall art with a welcoming, nostalgic feel.
Every Rifle Paper Co. × Loloi design begins with a paintbrush in Anna’s hand, and many end up in the hands of expert weavers in India, including the new Thistle Collection. The rug’s vintage embroidery-inspired design, with wavy vines and scalloped edges, is hand-tufted of durable wool and GoodWeave-certified. At the core of this collaboration, craft is everything.
Also new this season: Rifle Paper Co. x Loloi’s first machine-washable rug, the Orchard Collection. The design takes inspiration from vintage quilts and cross-stitch details, with a soft palette that feels cozy and classic. “Knowing you can throw your rug in the wash if something gets spilled or tracked onto it takes so much of the pressure off,” said Anna. “And it lets you really live in your home.”
No surface left bare. New pillows and wall art reimagine classic countryside motifs with a Rifle Paper Co. flourish. Pillows with embroidery and beaded details can be a centerpiece against simpler sofas and bedding, suggests Anna. “That said, I have a special place in my heart for the maximalists, and love to see how our pillows are styled against even more color and pattern.”
