Q & A

Why did you decide it was time to design a rug line?

I use a lot of rugs in my own design work in many styles both antique classical and contemporary so it seemed an ideal opportunity to be able to design a collection which myself and hopefully other designers and consumers will enjoy.

Why did you choose to collaborate with Loloi?

Loloi is a very dynamic company and not only understands the rug making process but also the importance of providing a good cross section of quality product for the end user. Their marketing strategy and ability to keep stock of rugs is also very favourable as the clients today want product instantly and are not prepared to wait 6 – 8 months.

What aspect of this collection are you most proud of?

I think that designs are very useable and can relate to both contemporary and classical settings and also a number of different rooms. The colours are also ones that I find appealing and easy to use without completing dominating a room.

What advice do you have for designers or homeowners looking to decorate their home using a rug from this collection?

In some cases if the rug is very dominant then it is important to use that rug as starting point for selecting the colours for the room, but in the case of my collection I feel the rugs will blend easily into existing schemes and provide a beautiful focal point on either a wood floor or fitted carpet.
